Robert de Neve the Founder & General Partner of NextPhase Ventures, a venture capital, private equity & business advisory firm providing solutions to technology companies looking to productize and monetize Intellectual Property (IP) and unique business process-based Intellectual Assets (IA).

He is also the Founder, former CEO and current Member of the Board for BriteLab Inc. the world’s first Robotics & Automation-Based Intellectual Property Productization & Realization company focused on commercializing and proliferating the extreme successes of Silicon Valley’s semiconductor chip, equipment & automation industry.

Robert is the chief architect and master instructor of the Business Warrior Training & Management System. A unique employee and supply chain development program that combines Martial Arts Philosophy, Silicon Valley Entrepreneurism, and Ivy League MBA skills into a “business self-defense” and leadership system for entrepreneurs and executives.

He has over 40 years of technical and executive management experience in Silicon Valley specializing in the development, launch and optimization of high technology products and businesses. He is a six-time honoree of INC. Magazine’s 500 Fastest Growing Company’s list. This was accomplished with three different companies, Equipe Technologies, Evolve Manufacturing Technologies and BriteLab Inc.. These companies were also seven-time honorees in the Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Fast 50 with a #1 win achieved in 1997.

Robert is also developing the Business Warrior Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to helping veterans of our Armed Forces to successfully integrate back into society and keeping the US the global leader in AI-based Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation.

His lifelong interest in martial arts training and philosophy has been a major inspiration to his unique approach to business management. He is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in the Hawaiian martial art of Kajukenbo, a Certified Defensive Tactics Instructor in Reality-Based Martial Arts under Jim Wagner, a Certified Mixed Martial Arts Instructor under 5 Time UFC World Champion Frank Shamrock, and a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Rener and Ryron Gracie.

Robert is a graduate and former instructor of the Project & Program Management certificate program at UC Santa Cruz's School of Business Management. He is also a graduate of the Contemporary Optics & Lens Design certificate programs at the University of Rochester's Institute of Optics and studied Electronic Engineering Technology at Cogswell Polytechnic College and Laser Technology at San Jose City College.

His passion for continuing education and community service has resulted in lecturing and mentoring positions at The Thiel Foundation, Carnegie-Mellon University, Hult International Business School, and UC Berkeley. Other pursuits include academic research, with Dr. Chuck Darrah of San Jose State University, in the area of advanced business models and operating systems and teaching a new seminar and workshop on “The Silicon Valley Way” for Draper University.
